J's Integrative Therapies uses the Reveal Imager from
Canfield Imaging Systems for patients in our region to provide
easy to understand, printed reports that we use to develop
your personal skin care regime.
What makes the Reveal Imager so good for my skin
analysis?
The computer-controlled Reveal Imager ensures our ability
to reproduce your facial photography between specific time
points with built-in positioning aids and standardized
lighting. The Reveal Imager allows us to record both
standard and cross polarized photography and measure surface
and subsurface skin conditions. When needed, Reveal Imager
even has a tool that lets us zoom in and magnify image areas
for closer examination and review with each patient. Once
done, the reports are customized for each patient in an
easy-to-read format which includes recommendations for your
skin care.
Reveal Imager's origin as research
tool
Reveal Imager was originally developed as a research tool
for skin care. Since then, the Reveal Imager has been
enhanced for use worldwide in health and skin care by
Canfield Imaging Systems, the worldwide leader in imaging
products for healthcare and wellness.
How does Reveal Imager work?
The Reveal Imager scans your skin and captures key visual
information, using multi-spectral imaging and analysis, of
key areas that affect your skin's health and appearance. We
use the Reveal Imager to evaluate your skin pigmentation,
photo damage (typically from sun damage), texture, wrinkles,
rosacea, spider veins and acne. We then prepare your
personal skin care regime and rejuvenation program.
As your treatments progress, the Reveal Imager is used to
track the changes in your skin and the effectiveness of your
skin care program.
How long does the Reveal Imager take?
Your first Reveal Imager analysis will take just a few
minutes. Once complete, the review of your results and
consultation with our doctor will typically take from thirty
minutes to an hour, focusing on your specific problem areas.
Your analysis will also include your personal treatment
recommendations.
Follow-up Reveal Imager sessions will be a few minutes,
and the remaining time will be used for one of the
recommended procedures.
Are there any other considerations?
The actual Reveal Imager imaging of your surface and
subsurface skin features takes only a few minutes and is a
comfortable process at all times.
Your results with the Reveal Imager helps provide an even
more accurate diagnosis of your skin and documents it's
improvement over time.
How often do I need a Reveal Imager
consultation?
Your first analysis report will become your baseline from
which we can evaluate your progress. Depending on your skin
condition and your goals, we will perform additional
evaluations as needed throughout your treatment
program.
